Last year, we did an analysis to compare which politicians are searched for the most on Google by Indians. To put it into context, we added the names of a cricketer and a Bollywood to see what happens to the results. Sunny Leone, the Bollywood starlet was the undisputed winner. The last 12 months have been extremely dynamic in Indian politics, so we thought we should repeat the process. The Google Trend analyzer is more sophisticated now and combines all key words related to a topic automatically. Here are the results.  No surprise that Modi is #1 among politicians   Modi was the undisputed leader in terms of Google searches over the past 12 months. There was a period in January 2014, right after his infamous interview with Arnab Goswami, when Rahul Baba was at the top. Kejriwal had his 15 minutes of fame during his 49 day stint as Delhi’s Chief Minister and his resignation coincided with him being at the top for a brief period   Sachin trumps Modi…   When we add Sachin Tendulkar to the mix, we find that not even Modi could compete with Sachin’s popularity around the time when Sachin played his last game and retired Sunny Leone still rules   No one can compete with Sunny Leone, not even Narendra Modi. India’s quest for details of Leone’s scarcely clad body around the release of Ragini MMS II, far outweighed one of the most historic elections. Only Sachin could compete with Leon. For a brief period, his popularity in Nov 2013 was greater than that of Leone’s. Copyright secured by Digiprove
